New Path Family is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity that publishes free, plain-language education for autistic and ADHD adults and the people who love them. These are the questions we are asked most often. Everything below is free to read and no account is required: the five courses in the Learning Center (The Neurodivergent Brain, The Neurodiverse Couple, The Autistic Woman, Parenting Autism and The Adult ADHD Course) and the Worksheet Library. The Free Learning Center
What is the New Path Learning Center?
The Learning Center is the main thing this nonprofit does. It is a set of five self-paced programs, written in plain language, about how neurodivergent minds, bodies and relationships actually work: The Neurodivergent Brain (23 modules), The Neurodiverse Couple (24 modules), The Autistic Woman (22 modules), Parenting Autism (22 modules), and The Adult ADHD Course (16 modules).
Each program is a complete guide with lessons, videos, screeners and workbooks. Start with whichever one fits your life, read the modules in whatever order makes sense to you, take what helps and skip what does not. Nothing is held back for a paid tier, because there is no paid tier.
Is the Learning Center really free, and do I need an account?
Yes it is free, and no account is required. There is no sign-up wall, no trial period, no upgrade, and no premium version. You do not have to give us an email address to read anything on this site, including the Worksheet Library.
New Path Family is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Publishing this material at no cost is the charitable purpose of the organization. It is not a marketing step toward something you are eventually asked to buy.
Which of the five programs should I start with?
Start with the one that matches the question that brought you here. The Neurodivergent Brain covers the foundations: sensory processing, executive function, meltdowns, shutdowns and burnout. The Neurodiverse Couple is for relationships where one or both partners are neurodivergent. The Autistic Woman is for women who were missed, misdiagnosed or identified late. Parenting Autism is for people raising autistic and ADHD children, including parents who are wired the same way. The Adult ADHD Course is for adults who are diagnosed, newly identified, or still wondering.
You can also search the Learning Center by topic rather than by title. The search reads subject matter, so plain phrases such as meltdowns, cannot start tasks, or my partner does not get it will find the right module.
Who writes and reviews the material?
The programs are written by clinicians and shaped by neurodivergent people with lived experience. Writers and reviewers are named on our Acknowledgments page.
The writing is neurodiversity-affirming throughout. We use identity-first language, we do not use outdated terms such as Asperger's, and we treat neurological difference as difference rather than as deficit.
Worksheets and Screeners
What is in the Worksheet Library?
The Worksheet Library holds more than 350 free worksheets, each one a single focused exercise rather than a workbook you have to complete in order. They cover regulation and meltdown planning, communication and repair, executive function, sensory needs, relationships, parenting, and self-understanding.
The library is searchable, everything in it is free to read or print, and no account is required.
May I use your worksheets with my own students, group or family?
Yes, for non-commercial use. Teachers, group facilitators, support workers and parents are welcome to print anything in the Worksheet Library and use it in classrooms, groups and homes at no charge. Please leave the New Path Family attribution on the page.
Please do not resell our material or present it as your own work. If you want to reproduce a large amount of it, translate it, or include it in something you are publishing, write to info@newpathfamily.com first and we will almost certainly say yes.
Are the screeners on this site a diagnosis?
No. Every screener and self-discovery tool published here is an educational instrument. None of them is a diagnostic instrument, no result from this website is a diagnosis, and this organization does not diagnose anyone.
What a screener can do is help you decide whether a question is worth pursuing, and give you clearer language for a conversation with a qualified professional. That is the whole of its purpose.

Who is New Path Family?
New Path Family is the public name of New Path Couples Therapy, Inc., a California nonprofit public benefit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity. Our EIN is 87-0816107 and our California Registry of Charities number is CT0277447.

What is the mission of the organization?
To provide advocacy and mental health resources for the neurodivergent community.
In practice that means publishing free, plain-language education for autistic and ADHD adults, for the people who love them, and for the professionals who work alongside them. Everything we publish is free to read, including the five courses in the Learning Center and the Worksheet Library. There is no sign-up and no fee.
Does New Path Family provide therapy, assessment or coaching?
No. This organization does not provide psychotherapy, psychological or autism assessment, diagnosis, medication management, coaching, or any other clinical service. Nothing on this website is an offer of clinical care, and we have no clinical staff, no clients and no waiting list.
What you find here is educational material. It is not medical advice, it is not psychotherapy, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

Does this website sell anything or carry advertising?
No. Nothing on this site is for sale. There are no products, no paid services, no memberships, no advertising, and no affiliate arrangements of any kind. We do not sell, rent or trade visitor information, and we do not require an email address to read anything here.
The purpose of the site is to publish free educational material and read it in place. There is no commercial transaction available on it.
The Nonprofit and the Therapy Centers
How is New Path Family related to New Path Family of Therapy Centers, Inc.?
They are two separate organizations. New Path Family is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that publishes the Learning Center, the Worksheet Library and our advocacy writing. New Path Family of Therapy Centers, Inc. is a separate California professional corporation that employs licensed clinicians and provides clinical services.
The two share a founder and a philosophy of care. Neither organization owns the other, and neither pays the other. The nonprofit provides no clinical services and has no clinical staff, no clients and no waiting list. The therapy corporation has no control over what the nonprofit publishes.
Do you receive anything when a reader becomes a therapy client?
No. New Path Family receives no payment, commission, revenue share or referral fee of any kind when a reader contacts or becomes a client of New Path Family of Therapy Centers, Inc., or of any other provider.
We name that organization here, and point you to the page that describes it, because being clear about the relationship is more honest than leaving it unsaid. Naming a related company is a disclosure, not a referral, and nobody pays us to make it.
I want to talk to a therapist. Can you refer me?
Not in the way that word usually means. This organization makes no clinical referrals, keeps no referral list, and does not screen or vet providers. We are paid nothing if you contact anyone, and we have no way of knowing whether you did.
What we can do is tell you who we are connected to. New Path Family of Therapy Centers, Inc. is a separate California professional corporation that shares a founder with this nonprofit and runs a group of virtual therapy centers. Our therapy centers page describes it and lists those centers. Naming a related company is a connection, not a referral, and where you go is entirely your choice.
There are also good routes that have nothing to do with us, and they are worth using. Your physician can refer you, your health plan can list the providers it covers, and your state licensing board publishes a public register of every licensed clinician in your state.

Advocacy and Contact
What advocacy work does the nonprofit do?
Alongside the courses and worksheets we publish advocacy writing for autistic and ADHD adults and the people who love them: on late identification, masking and burnout, being believed, plain-language accommodation at work and at school, and the way neurodivergent people are described in clinical settings.
The aim throughout is plain language for people who have been handed clinical language and left to translate it on their own.
Can I suggest a topic, or write for the Learning Center?
Yes to both. If there is a subject the Learning Center does not cover, or a worksheet you wish existed, write to info@newpathfamily.com. Requests from readers are a large part of how we decide what to publish next.
If you are a clinician, a researcher, or a neurodivergent writer who would like to help build the material, use the same address. Writers and reviewers are credited on our Acknowledgments page.
We also welcome corrections. If something we have published is out of date, inaccurate, or worded in a way that does not sit right with you, tell us and we will look at it.
